Who we are and what we do: 

Openii, sometimes pronounced Open Eyes, is a management consulting business specialising in product development, technical problem solving and process improvement. Openii are also product and business developers managing the delivery of all services required from concept development, through business planning, research and development, prototyping, product testing and manufacturing through to product distribution and sales and through all of the stages in-between. Openii can assist businesses at any stage throughout the development cycle.

The types of products that can be created and the types of problems that can be solved can come from a wide range of disciplines including mechanical engineering, robotics, medical aparatus, business practice, mining, defence, computing and ICT and others. At its core, Openii is a two person partnership based in Perth Western Australia but operating globally. Openii has served clients in the UK, Europe the USA and Japan. Openii works in synergy with the:

• Australian Centre for Advanced Studies -  a training organisation overseeing the acreditation and compliance of educational programs
• Inventors Association of Australia (Federal) Inc. - a not-for-profit organisation coordinating the efforts of state based associations. These provide information and support services to inventors across Australia
• Specialist Industry Bodies

Openii maintains two connection databases:

• The database for the Innovation Friendly Network - a database containing over 150 entries of businesses working in and around the innovation development industry
• The database for the Talented Innovator Register - a database containing over 40 technical specialists

Openii runs a number of educational programs designed to stimulate innovation:

• The Open Innovation Workshop - designed to teach and/or lead problem solving as a creative, technical exercise
• The Innovation Incubator Workshop - designed to teach and/or lead the development of innovation from concept through to distribution and sales
